Brand Manager

Brownes is an iconic West Australian fresh dairy business, dating back more than 126 years. Brownes has a strong and loyal following and sources all its milk from South West WA dairy farms. Brownes holds leading positions in the fresh milk, flavoured milks, creams, yoghurts and dairy desserts categories and has won various WA and National dairy awards.

With such a strong presence in WA this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced product or brand manager to further progress your FMCG marketing career.
We are looking for someone who has a positive 'can do' attitude who would enjoy working in a fast paced environment with a dynamic marketing team.


As the Brand Manager you will identify brand and business opportunities within your portfolio and develop brand strategies to meet and exceed the brand growth in the development and implementation of the marketing plan for a product group.
Areas of responsibility would involve:

• Develop an intimate knowledge of the market including reviewing competitor strategies and tactics.
• Actively contribute ideas, data, time and energy to the development of the company's strategic plan.
• Contribute to the strengthening of the company's image in the market.
• Identify key insights in the market for brand/product development. Actively seek new sales opportunities for existing products, new brands, customer specific needs, migration of brands from the group across categories or developments which could be on the basis of a joint venture or joint alignment basis.
• Set the criteria for establishing the PMS budget against company requirements (both trading and financial). Evaluate spend against sales performance.
• Manage together with Sales, the CAM performance of the overall dairy business, individual categories and individual brands.
• Develop and launch innovative products on time and on budget. The launch is to include portfolio analysis, feasibility study, product and packaging development and market research, POS development.


• Tertiary degree in Marketing or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, demonstrating both depth and breadth in brand management.
• Preferably experience in FMCG, consumer goods
• We are looking for someone who is a good communicator with excellent presenter skills, project management and time management abilities.
• Online/social medial marketing experience desired.
