Gemba is the authority in sport and entertainment and we’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This role is integral to our Sports and Entertainment Communications and will see you working with market-leading automotive brand, Toyota.
You’ll manage the execution of brand/marketing plans, communications, sponsorship strategies and creative briefs and their execution. You’ll need experience juggling multiple stakeholders and collaborating with creative teams. You might even need to play the odd game of ping pong... If you think you can do this, we want you!

What is the role?
Charged with the overall day-to-day management of client projects, the Senior Account Manager will help develop and support engaging client campaigns including but not limited to content development, print, broadcast integration, TVCs and activations. You’ll be working with the creative team to bring ideas to life and assist in growing the clients’ business.
More specifically, duties include:
- Campaign development and project management
- Developing and maintaining strong client and rights holder relationships
- Managing the estimating and budgeting process
Who are we looking for?
If you are currently an Account Manager in an agency environment and ready to take the next step in your career, or a Senior Account Manager wanting to hone your skills in Sport & Entertainment, then look no further.
You must have 4+ years’ experience in the advertising, sponsorship or rights-holder industries with relevant qualifications. A high level of content/digital marketing knowledge will be favourably viewed. You will need demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a focus on finding solutions to potential issues. Strong initiative, drive and proactivity are a must.
More specifically, you will have:
- Proven experience in key stakeholder management including liaising with clients and other external agencies
- Experience in managing large budgets (in excess of $2.0 Million) and negotiating with external vendors
- Strong understanding of the communication planning and creative development processes
- Strong project management skills, including process and procedures (e.g. critical paths, project plans)
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing direct reports
