Her career began at 17 in Despatch at Ogilvy Melbourne, the day after completing her HSC. Positions in production and traffic management followed at several top Melbourne agencies.

In 1985 Esther joined Apple International Recruitment Melbourne where she was trained by the industry’s grand dame, Claire Worthington.

In 1988, she was appointed General Manager of Apple, and ran their Sydney office for five years before establishing her own company, in 1993.
