Who We Are

Our Mission

“To be the leading provider of quality services to people with disability in Western Australia.”

Our Purpose

“To support people with disability and their families through a range of services, supports and community awareness, maintaining a specialty in Cerebral Palsy.”

Our Strategic Directions

  • Putting People First
  • Growing through Change
  • Leading from the Front

Our Values

We believe in Respect: We put people first and respect diversity. Integrity: We are ethical and fair and we deliver what we promise. Transparency: We are open, honest and accountable for everything we do. Excellence: We create, adapt and strive for the very best.

Our Personality

Our brand personality is:
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Engaged & personal
  • Innovative & forward looking
  • Caring & committed

Fundraising

Our emphasis must be the good work we are doing:

  • We are proactive, responsive and flexible
  • No guilt motivation, desperation, pleading or ‘hard luck’ stories
  • The need ($$) we have is not 'ours'; it is the service user
  • Every donation or contribution is valuable
  • We are open and transparent across all our activities

Our Voice

We use a considered but uplifting voice. We speak plainly and clearly and avoid overly clinical terms, unless we are communicating with medical or therapy experts.

We are factually accurate, but never jargonistic. Our style is considered and thoughtful; we use straightforward language, flecked with positivity and aspirational tones.
We are mindful of accessibility and cultural sensitivity and tailor our communications to our audience and the channel through which we’re reaching them.

Our Audience

We need to speak to multiple audiences in a variety of engaging ways. This may mean expressing ourselves in a more technical or clinical way for the therapy, medical or assistive technology community or emphasising our human connection for financial supporters, staff or the general public.

We are aware of the need for accessibility and cultural sensitivities.
We will split the identity and tone of voice requirements for each audience, based on their needs and how the brand should be represented when talking to them.
  • Service users and their families
  • Internal
  • General public and supporters
  • Medical, therapy and research
  • Funders
  • Government
